HID Problem...NEED HELP!!!

I have an 03 Evo 8 with factory HIDs. The problem is when cornering mainly under acceleration the lights flicker. I'm looking to see if anyone has had this issue or if anyone knows what it could be? All the help is appreciated. Thanks - Corey

Definitely not normal, try to find a connection problem. Unless you're running a flux capacitor under the hood it's not normal.

It's probably rust of corrosion's in the wiring terminals stuff like that. Or loose connections like what they said.

Are the rpms stable under cornering? If they rise during cornering with no added gas then something is not working correctly.

The rpms don't change but it seems to be more when I accelerate while cornering. I need to figure out the problem soon. It's really irritating....

check your bulb ... check if it moves freely side to side . if not check ballast connection . could be a weak signal

So I know it has been awhile since this was discussed last, but I still have not found a fix. I removed the headlights and did not find any loose connections. The bulb does seem kind of loose side to side not sure if that's normal. The driver side light recently now goes out sometimes after it flickers. But both side lights flicker. Which is why I'm lost with this. It is also still only when cornering. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

you sure they're factory HID's? generally cheaper HID's will flicker when you go over bumps etc while driving

bulb should be very firm in the housing

have you tried changing the bulbs? im thinking the bulb to connector is not having a secure contact.

Yes, all 2003 evo's had factory HIDS. Mine do not flicker when hitting bumps it is only when I go around turns.

That was my next thing I was thinking of trying after I had taken them apart and didn't find any loose connections. When the one goes out sometimes if I turn the lights off then back on it usually is okay then until the next turn. It is very frustrating and I need to find a solution! Where could I get bulbs for it and how much?
