03 BBY or 06 GG SE... opinions?

Get the 9 SE. Came with the best of everything in the evo world in 2006. I paid 23,500 for mine in 2009 and it only had 15,000 miles on it. Try to haggle it down to a more reasonable price.

Hee hee! Your post made me smile just now. You know I actually thought maybe I should change my USERID to make this post, since I hadn't even looked at this forum since I owned my MR. Now that I'm 33 and a mommy vs. 25 being the cool chick with the hot car, lol... wish I had made a cooler ID. Ha! But, yes, pics for sure.

Could the '03 really have gone for $26k at auction? Really? Or do you work for the dealership? ....just asking.
Yes, I've been sitting on it for a while. No one in their sane mind would pay almost $27k for it. I think now that they've dropped, it shows motivation to sell; and they might get some interest from anyone else that's been just watching/waiting????

It was listed on the Internet MMR(Sales price history) but they normally clear it out every couple of months.

Thanks 'des'....! Yes, that's an amazing auction price.
So, 'blackened wings,'......... I'm going to check out the black MR if it's still around Saturday!!! I'm told it's 100% stock with the exception of the aftermarket Sirius radio and sound system that was professionally installed (something I would definitely add anyway) with 58k miles & asking $22,981.
Black isn't normally my color...... Haven't had a black car since my '93 Acura before Evo's existed here in the States. But, the hubby's all for the MR vs. '03, also. And, it's not like I hated my white MR.... just didn't have it long enough unfortunately. I do think the IX if stock is the better way to go.

^Done with this guy. LMFAO!!!
Make them sit on the 8 for awhile. I am pretty sure at the asking price, they are not going to sell it for awhile. Go in there and see how far you can get them down. If you are not willing to pay that price, walk out. Go back a week or so later and say are you ready to sell it yet.

As for the thread starter, once again the choice is yours. it all depends on what You want, not what some shmucks on an online forum think.

That's why I'm so mad. I called Tuesday, same day the car was listed online. Sales guy says he'll confirm condition/no mods, etc. He emails me, I email back the very next morning... no reply, so I call that afternoon. He's not in and the other guy tells me, "yeah, Steve (first guy I talked to) is the one you have to talk to about that car, he's out today, I'll have him call you tomorrow morning." I call the next morning, yesterday, and learn that someone put a deposit on it when he was out to hold the car til they come look at it Fri (today). WTF, that's why I called Wed, because I knew there was no way the damn car was going to last more than a few days!!!!!!!!!! Apparently, I should have demanded to talk to the mgr or something when I called. The jerk of a sales guy promised to let me know if the ppl didn't take the car today, and of course he didn't...... just icing on the cake. So I wait all day and call just now to learn that it was in fact sold today.
It's not like the car was any less than 3 1/2 hours away, or I would have went in person Wed. And if whoever took the car hadn't simply called in sight unseen, just as I, to put down a freaking deposit to look at it; I might not feel quite as screwed over. Because when I called, the guy did confirm the car was available!
Chances of finding another mint MR completely stock at $23k = never!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to auto sales. I guarantee you the guy you talked to is the one that sold the car. You see a lot of that in car sales. People will do a lot to make sure they are the ones that get the sale. Salesmen will also claim to be the manager on the phone. Best of luck, and sorry to hear about getting screwed.
