EVO 6 Wont Start - Please help guys
A little background info on what's been happening..
My car was stolen 2 weeks ago and has been since recovered, unfortunately I only had 1 set of keys which the fu*k!rs didn't leave with the car.
I got a set made by a locksmith and now the car still won't start, I read somewhere that certain Evo's came with transponders and was wondering who could confirm whether or not this is actually the case with Evo 6's?
Just that I don't have insurance and already looking at forking out heaps of money on body damage they caused and don't want to spend $400+ Mitsubishi want for a new key and recode etc.
Any help would be great.

Please give details on what happens when you try to start it. We have no idea what your problem is if you just tell us it doesn't start. Do your lights come on in the cluster? Do you have power to everything? Do you hear fuel pump? Does the serpentine turn? Does the starter engage? Do you smell fuel?

Thanks for the reply,
Battery is hooked up to another car that's running.
All lights on dash come on as per normal.
As I turn the key to ignition I hear 2 or 3 suttle clicks from inside the engine bay area
Turn the key to start the car and it turns over
Tries to start but doesnt fire up.

I get power to everything from what I can see.
cd player turns on and works fine.
Starter seems to engage as it is trying to turn.
I don't smell fuel.
Don't hear the fuel pump on engaging the ignition however I do hear it when I wind it back down and put it back into IGN from trying to start it, I hope that makes sense.

The serpentine does turn but it just wont fire then? You try to start it multiple times and don't smell fuel? Did you try hitting the gas pedal while starting?(dumb question I know) I think your problem is fuel related. I would take the fuel rail off and see if injectors squirt when you try to start.

Do you know if it sounds like it could be a factory immobiliser? Do you know if the Evo 6's came with them at all?

Clicks are usually relays kicking on. Its possible that the fuel pump relay is bad, but relays going bad is pretty rare. There is numerous thing that could be the problem here, fuses like posted above could be a big one. I suggested checking fuel at the rail because you aren't smelling fuel and if there is no fuel at the rail then clearly your problem is somewhere in the fuel circuit. Just a FYI when you check the fuel rail, make sure you do not lose any of the orings. There are 3 on each injector, they like to run away when you pull the injectors.
