Malfunction - MR / RS factory oil temp gauge

After my 20 minute drive home from work, when Im sitting in my driveway the needle is right on 70C, which is around 170F. Most likely if you let it idle, it will rise, if you start driving out of boost it will go down thanks to the oil cooler doing its job. Even with some gratuitous freeway boosting the highest Ive seen the needle was 75C or so.

The OEM MR gauges are horrible. The oil temp gauge in particular is super sketchy. I had a really nervous moment earlier this season blasting down the front straight on Summit Main and realizing that my oil temp was still 0. ...except it wasn't. I banged on the gauge face and nothing, but after getting off track, turning the car off and back on (and hitting it some more) it started working again. Aftermarket gauges.

So I have a question about it.
does anyone have a wiring diagram for the temp gauge. My wife has stok gauges in her mr. and we got the tranny rebuilt and after that the temp gauge stopped working. Trying to figure out why.
