Incidentally, is that Mt. Diablo in the background of your avatar pic? Where was the shot taken? I may be up in the Bay Area soon. So, if you want just send me a PM and we can get together and I'll help you sort out the WG preload issue on your turbo.

I'm going to deal with the internal wastegate actuator and then see how bad the response is. If worse comes to worse, I'll go back to another intercooler. Now the question is, should I go back to the stock one? Or should I just go with a smaller 3" aftermarket?

I will definitely let you all know. From what I can guess, it's not the BBK full that's slowing down the response if that helps you any.

I just learned that the diverter valve is the same thing as the blow off valve. I am using a stock Evo 9 BOV and from what I've read, it should be fine because it's aluminum, not plastic. I once asked my tuner if he recommends that I crush it and he said that it's really not necessary for the boost pressure he was using in my daily driver.

Buschur and CBRD both disagree with this. I just went through this two weeks ago. I thought I was all set with my shopping list waiting for my install, then came across a post where Buschur said he thought the stock DV was holding a client's car back and that was with a stock turbo. It was the first I'd heard of it. I went searching and found that CBRD usually puts a synchronic DV on a BBK Full setup which is what I have also. So I ordered one.

Check it out.
