I would think most people that can afford an Evo probably also own a house with a garage.. Or at least a garaged apt.

I wanted a house but to save up for a downpayment it would take me aprox. 6 years here in NJ.
I figured, I'll buy the Evo now and enjoy it while I'm still relatively young and save up for a house later (when I find a better paid job that actually gives bonuses).
Garage is nice but most apartments I know of in NJ don't have covered parking
Those that have it are usually expensive as hell.

It's garage kept, but it's doing daily driver duty in the snow and salt of upstate NY. Constantly covered in a white film - that should be good for the uncoated rear bumper mounts! I'm running on Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22's and the car is awesome to run in the snow. The ADVANS were simply criminal in the snow - they shouldn't let these things off the lot in snow country with the ADVANS on. There's nothing like creeping up to traffic lights at 20 mph, hitting the brakes, and sliding a good 10 feet (on the ADVANS). The LM-22's are great in the snow, but a little compromised on dry pavement. I took a tight 90 degree corner at pretty good speed, and it was the first time I experienced the tail start to hang out - whee!

Well I have a house, but no garage

I have a cover for the evenings, storms, and eventually snow. But most time, I don't bother covering her if I'm just going to sleep and drive to work the next day.

Next house has three requirements: walk-in closet, big bathroom, garage. Of course, the EVO put a dent in saving for that

Mine is gonna be in garage soon.

If you leave it out, especially in georgia at this time, you'll get zapped with tree saps.

I got a 15x15 storage unit for my EVO. Also put my tools and GSXR600 in there to keep her company. I was parking her outside my condo, but my stupid neighbor parked her busted @$$ caddy way too close so I drove straight to the storage place and rented a unit. Only $65 a month. Cheap investment.

This year the EVO get's the garage...but when I was outside...

Lots of wax, mudflaps, good All-Season tires, and oil changes at 2500 instead of at 5000...and a spraydown once a week when the sun's out to kick off the salt.

What was funny was when I had my Geo Prism (black) for ten years, the paint (minus the SUMMER chips) still looked new! Don't ever under estimate what a good wax can do!

Cheers,

jcnel.

Mines outside all the time, gets washed once a week has performance all season tires and oil changes between 3500-4000 miles. If I had a garage I would deffinately use it.

My evo is my daily driver and it's parked in my driveway every single night being blocked by a tahoe. My car gets washed every single week at work, there's a few guys that work there every friday at the parking lot washing employee's cars.

I voted yes only because most of my Evo's life has been kept inside one, but right now it's not I hope it will be again real soon.
