after a week of breaking in my new tranny and clutch my buddies talked me in to going to the track today.i was wanting to find out where it stands performance wise anyway. the mods are shep trans ,tcase, and comp clutch ,hks filter and hks evo exhaust. otherwise stock. i made 2 passes today and that was enough for me.first shakedown pass i slipped way to long and ran 13.10 second pass i launched much better and went 12.71. i was so happy that i didnt even want to run again .im tryin to decide on my next mods .thinking about a ecu program.any ideals

Go to Bondurant Racing School in AZ, or Skip Barber in CA, or SOMEHOW find a local racing school that will teach you what you need to know. These cars aren't built to 1/4 mile. They were built to rally, and to road race. I know you poor bastards in the middle of the country don't have it as good as we do on the coasts, but I'm telling you, get yourself an education, and keep that car from falling apart at the same time. When you're flying around a corner at 80mph nailing the apex to the wall, there is no greater feeling in the world. Trust me.
