I vote for DV. I had the BOV and was so big that it was cumbersome to do certain things in the engine bay. Once I switched to the DV, I noticed that it does react differently than the big one, but the positives out weigh all negatives.

the goal here is to determin if I should buy the synapse for my car.
I recently switched to e85, im running a base map for a few days to clear out the fuel linse on any 91oct.
once i go in for the final tune i'd like to be finished with the Mod
I just installed a sm battery and Nisei pipes.
the last things will be
1) AEM air intake
2) DV or BOV
so I was told the Mini DV by synapese is the way to go. It holds boost well.
Im looking to have FFTech dial in the highest boost possible but still keep the knock down.....
plase help make a quick decision on the synapse......what are your experiences?
Im looking for how you liked it.
Not how someone you knew liked or disliked it.
thanks

I started out with a buck that frightened my wife so much she told me to take her home. fixed all of my vacuum sources and 70% of the problem vanished. spent the next 2 weeks and two tanks of gas, adjusting, driving, adjusting, driving.
and now it's nearly perfect and I'm still not done with testing different configs.
I like it lot.

IMO, the synapse can be really bad because it is so effective at what it does. If you have it poorly set up it is REALLY bad. I wonder how many of those people took the time to absolutely ensure it had a dedicated non-leaking vacuum source and THEN took the additional time to try out all 6 starting configs with both of the commonly used springs and then tuning the preload after that.

The little one. I'm very happy with it. I got it running great with the stock spring and now I'm experimenting with Aby's spring and have it runnning great but still have all of the "pull" configs to try to see if I can get it even smoother.
