A friend of mine talked to the K&N rep once and was told that the filters come way overloaded with oil from the factory and that the first thing one should do is clean it off and re-apply less oil to it. Like someone else said, PINK instead of RED.



A couple months back a friend and I took the k&n filter off his 89 integra to clean it, while we were waiting for it to dry we wanted to go get some eats, so we just put some panty hose over the air box and closed it up. It did not have that much more get up to it but it was hella loud. Kinda funny, the panty hose was my joking idea but he was all like, sure lets do it.....
