Need Help! My evo is acting up. =/

So like the title says I am in need of some help ladies and gents. My problem seems to imitate the feeling of when one of those damn IC pipes pops off mixed with a slipping clutch. (can't be the clutch I just had it replaced.) When I get on the throttle the car will rev up but I wont feel anywhere near as much pull as I should (clutch slip feel). It really is noticeable when im on the freeway and trying to accelerate from 60mph.

I have taken my bumper off and checked my upper and lower ic pipes but they are all connected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

-James

should do a boost leak test. there is a how to in the how to section.
or, it could be the clutch. install error? just getting something replaced doesnt mean it cant be the problem.

Try holding the brake a little and keeping the car at a certain speed while giving it more and more throttle. If the rpm's increase your clutch is slipping...and pretty bad at that.

The factory throttle body shaft seals leak like *****, so if it's a boost leak I'm putting my money on that.

Well I finally had time to fully check out my car today and it turns out that the rubber/silicone connector for my lower intercooler pipe had been ripped through from what I guess must have been the boost. by the way there was a some black sludge up against the inside of the connecter... any ideas? is that ok?

That would be oil build up valve cover breather or even a turbo oil seal

If there is no CES Begin with the obvious like :

-Inspect J-pipe seals

-the j-pipe nipple(its self to see if its broken) from j-pipe to solenoid

-Inspect hoses for puncture.

-make sure your divertor/bov is installed correctly.

Than have the clutch inspected, my guess would be the clutch, though.
