Maybe in this thread someone could help me reg Different wheel offset etc on my 8
Hi i would like to install a 17" x 8 wheel 5x98 on my evo 8 and was wondering what do i need ? spacers that coverts 5x98 to 5x114 ? where and who do i call to make this conversion and will it work ?
Please if someone could help me out here.
Thanks
Ok I just got more info, the wheels are 17x8, 24.5 offset & 58.1 bore.
So help me out here, how can I make this wheel fit my Evo ?
I tried on the wheel thread and i guess not many people browse there so i figured someone here could help me out.
Thanks again

Probably won't work with converters because the bore is also wrong.
Center bore on a evo is 67.1
Why do you want these wheels so badly?
I would just sell them and use the money to buy wheels that actually fit your car.

You can certainly get a spacer made to fit the wheel, the only question is how far out/in are the wheels going to be spaced because of the offset and in addition to the spacer you need to have made.
What are the stock wheels 17x8 et38 or something...??
If my guess ^^^ is correct then the wheel will stick out 13.5mm + the spacer... which will probably be at least 20mm = 33.5mm at least
That would be similar to keeping your same wheel offset and increasing the stock wheel width by almost 2.5" ...so 10.5" wheel... which could fit
You will have to get spacers though which fit the pilot diameter of the OEM hub and the pilot diameter of the new wheel you are trying to fit... you're asking for something which is pretty specific to be made... my guess would be at least $100 each. Probably can't make them out of Aluminum as you are not going to thread a wheel/lug into it
That's my $0.02
There's another way to do it but I will not rec. it because of the increased bearing loads it would apply... so we'll leave that option out.
