Really Raptord why dont you give me more credit then that, yes of course its gonna change because the coefficient of drag in relation to the angle of the hill your climbing, is higher then a flat surface therefore you need to have a higher amount speed to climb up the hill at the same pace of going on a flat road. So therefore in order for you to climb up the hill at a constant speed you need to have more throttle (ie push down on the gas a little more.) Which therefore will use more gas, how much is dependent on the amount of throttle you put in more. So hopefully we put this dispute to rest because were all getting passed the main point of this thread, which is to determine what is the best method of driving for fuel economy. Consistant high pedal pressure(barely pushing on the gas), staying around same inches of mercury in vacuum, then your gas mileage will increase. Thus what weve all been saying the same time.

What kind of trip mileage are you guys seeing on a full tank? I filled mine up after I bought it (just two days ago FWIW) and made it 300 miles back home, still no gas light either. I wasn't expecting to get that out of one tank so I am pleasantly surprised. The ride home was 75-ish MPH highway the whole way.

hitting 300 before the light will be roughly like 26-27mpg depending on when you hit the light

Yeah, for me, the light usually comes on at the point where it will take 11.5-12 gallons to fill it back up completely (or at least by the time the pump clicks off), so you got at least a hair above 25 mpg, likely more like 26 or so.

well it is possibly to do real good with gas mileage, I remember one week I drove from riverside out to indio which is about 80 miles east one way, came back next day then drove out to huntington beach which is about 60 miles one way, then a little put puttin around my town, I drove with the light on for about 15 miles, ended up gettin about 320 before I decided yea I dont wanna damage my fuel pump or run out of gas. So 320 to a full tank mostly vacuum shifting is pretty much my best to date. Which equates to roughly about 26.xx mpg. Not too shabby

i think my best is still like 27.9 - i wanted 28 so badly though.

for those of us with 2 sets of tires/wheels, anyone consider running 225 on their all seasons? i barely go WOT on my all seasons, drive like a total grandma, so i could sacrifice whatever grip i lose if it's significant, but i doubt it

Staying out of boost is the best way, I always try to stay at or below about 8-10 inHg. It does wonders for my gas milage, until I get tired of driving like a grandma and drive it all the way to 21psi lol

try and keep it a NA car. stay out of boost. evos naturally run very rich and that = more fuel. stay outa boost to reduce that.
