Spun bearing?
#18
Man, you need to get back to the basics-- folks are all over the board here. Keep it simple and check the things you changed. You said you were going to drain the oil and check for flakes---what did you find? If nothing , go back to the obvious--crush BOV and the hoses attahed to that---get a real BOV that is known to work and plug it in. --Next time just buy a BOV and save yourself the head/heart ache. Is the problem fixed with the new BOV? Last wait for the car to cool, start it up and put your hand in and around all gasket sealed exhaust areas-- all the way around all sides feeling for hot exhaust gases--that will tell you if its a gasket-- You cant trouble shoot over the web, take your time retrace your steps and do it rt.

When you have bad bearings it knocks and changes with RPM, all you have to do is drain the oil then remove the oil filter carefully trying not to spill the oil in it. Once the oil filter is off, stick you finger in the oil inside the oil filter. Hold you finger in front of sunlight and see if you can see what looks like tiny gold glitter. You can usually hear the knocking really loud. Eventually you low oil pressure light will come on due to the oil pickup screen being clogged. This is all if you do in fact have spun bearings. Bearing noise cant really be replicated with anything else and is very obvious.
