Relocating Factory Gauges

I was about to go take a look, but I was curious: if my car came from the dealer with the gauges installed, was it necessary to buy the gauge relocation kit in order to swap them with the radio? (they are currently at the bottom) - Or is it already installed for them to be there?

The facotry guages and radio can be swapped out and be in either spot. Just do some searches, this topic has been beaten to death!

Beaten to death, but with a lot of miss-information as well.

If you have the factory guages already installed, then swaping the location does not require the "CD changer" install kit. If you buy the guages seperately you DO need the kit. I am one of the people who got the missinformation and ended up paying a @#$% restocking fee on the install kit that I didn't need.

I think you can find them on Mitsu's web site, they're not bad, but nothing special. Those Defi sp? gauges are much nicer and probably don't cost as much. They're nice to have but I need to relocate the boost gauge so I'm not looking at the floor to see it.....
