i guess that depends on what the right tools are. i dont have a lift which sucks, but i have a good assortment of hand tools. i might just pay someone to do it. my shoulders and back are in rough shape, so its not something i should be doing anyways.

Ahh, yeah, a good lift, engine hoist & air tools make the job much easier.

I have everything but a lift. The hoist and stand are ready but I spent 3hrs on it already and all I have left to do it disconnect the A.C. and P.S. then the mounts and its all out. Subaru is still easier though.

I think it's pretty seized in there. Even after using WD-40 before it broke it didn't get any easier. Used a 2ft breaker bar in the end lol.

So I just spoke to my tuner and he gave me some new info. He stated that it's not Likely that the bearing spun due to over heating. He stated that it's more likely due to an oiling issue. I know for sure that my oil was full but I am the 4th owner of this car so I don't know of any major abuse. But from the looks underneath, its been mudding a few times. Another thought is that I was in long turns at high speed and my oil pan and pickup are oem. It might have been sucking up air instead of oil in long turns at the track. If I plan on running it like this again I'm gonna need a AMS oil pan and pickup.

Or overfill it by a quarter quart to a half quart to help with that. I know the oh thats not good for the motor will come out, but there are plenty of guys that do it without issues.

Fixed now though, day late and $4k shorter.
I do all my boost leak tests with the motor off. Here is a thread with more info:

Go with the buschur baffled Oem oil pan and make sure you replace your oil cooler so you don't get any shavings/ debris in your shiny new engine. I have MAP's oil cooler and would highly recommend it.

Wow thats terrible. After looking at the pics being you said others have owned it does this motor have oil squirters? I know you can take them out with built motors but not for stock apps.
