E85 vs fp green

A friend of mine has a stock turbo with tbe, injectors and e85 tune. He is pushing 345hp and 370lbs @ 30psi. I have a fp green pushing 400hp and 370lbs @24psi with supporting mods.. 1050's and 93 octane. Both have evo 9's. Why is he keeping up with me?

You buy horsepower, you drive torque.

Ya we both went to ams a week apart. Different tuners tho. Perhaps its e85 time. But strangely, when I went to ams, I asked for the e85 tune. They talked me out of it saying that overtime, e85 is real bad for my motor and they have seen many cases where the injectors have gotten clogged up seizing the motor. But everyone I talked to after says they have not had any issues. Only a slow start sometimes. ?? Weight is pretty similar I believe. He has carbon fiber fenders lol.. O and I have a gsr and he has a mr..

Sounds like driver differences if its the same dyno. Torque numbers being the same says u should only pull him up at the top of each gear. And e85 is miracle fluid lol. Ive ran it for a year and pulled my injectors, slight buildup but nothing worth worrying about that doesnt take 30 minutes to fix. Cold start only occurs if your area hasn't dropped to e70 (Winter blend) yet. But for 40-70 whp how could that be a problem lol

Keeping up with you as in 1/4mile runs? If so, it's probably has to do with the slight turbo lag of the green vs stock turbo. He's getting into the power (tq) sooner than you. In the end, you should always pull away from him (assuming same weights and drivers) because you have the top end.

I shall put this theory to the test next time I see him on our run, there were too many cars on the road. I didn't want to die or anything...

If that doesn't work, just YouTube search "e85 evo IX vs FP green evo IX" 2:00 mins long.

I would remove that video pretty quickly and just tell people where to find it or something. Posting of street racing on this forum is aginst the rules and they'll mark you for it. Just a heads up if they catch this before you read this.

Post up the dyno sheets from both cars. I would guess that one E85 he has a super fat torque profile, and on 91-93oct, your torque profile is not as nice as his.
