First time porting!
Ok Guys so this is my first time porting and I finished my intake manifold and about to start my head let me know what you guys think........CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM is perfectly fine let mw know what I need to do to get better or if I messed up somewhere!!!!

You are on the right track for sure. Eastwood offers longer bits if you are trying to extract every bit of power out of the stock manifold. I would definately get a 65mm tb and port the tb flange while the manifold is off. The stock mani is a pain to remove

Ok I will look into eastwood bits because I do want longer bits for sure thanks for that info!!
Also yes I hate taking the manifold on and off lol....and I did port the stock throttle body a bit But I might upgrade manifold soon so we shall see...... I just want to know what the car makes with ported mani and throttle body with a 6266 turbo. s3 cams fully ported head ect...

you have done a nice job just gasket match the ports and polish it and get a telescoping gauge to measure the width and the height of the port through the runner in order to make all the dimensions the same throughout the runner.

Yes I will do a gasket match and a telescoping gauge hmmmm never figured that but good Idea
Well I went ahead and went s3 because of the power band...I have a stock block right now but building a block as we speak well gathering parts......
Thanks for the comments guys longer bits are ordered and some more polishing will be done!

A telescoping gauge comes very handy, it came very handy for me bcuz where i live there are no machine shops who do cnc porting and port flow matching.
And for the S3 cams i don't think you will need them for the turbo you are curently using you would be good off with some kelford 272's or some S2 as mentioned ,because the power curve will be more on the high end after 5500 rpm where you will have more of an advantage and it all depends how much your reeving your engine and how much of boost you have. that's just my opinion
What type of O2 housing are you running if you are using stock then you could get that ported as well buschur racing has that service unless you will be doing it

aha now i see what your planing if you have high boost then the cams will be good for your setup. From who will you be buying the built motor? And i don't recommend boosting that much in a stock block IF you have the ported head in it bcuz the stock block wont be handling that amount of power and you can easily spin a bearing or break a piston or twist a rod and if any of those happen they might damage the head. But if you still have the stock motor without any mods and want to do it just for the heck of then go ahead lol.good luck let me know what happens

Yes this is what i am scared of......lol messing up the head...but the head is a little messed up from the previous owners motor being blown up twice with the same head... the shop before just hot tanked it like I did.But if you saw another one of my threads the head is a lil banged up so thats y I decided to port it crazy not really being scared of messing it up because the built motor will have a stock head that I will again port but with a little more experience
Thanks for looking out tho I really appreciate it!

well if the head is banged up then its ok but believe me you will get pissed if you blow your engine because i know from my experience i had a spun rod bearing because my oil pump and i used the same block but got it blueprinted polished new crankshaft new rods new oil cooler ....
But in your case you will buy a new short block but you will also need a new oil cooler and the turbo can be damaged as well.
I have some pictures of some ported heads and exhaust manifolds if you want i can send them to you maybe it will help.
Let me know if you need anything else.
