FP3794 or FP3586?

Looking at buying a new turbo. In the future I want to hit about 800hp. I do daily drive the car. I have a built 2.0 with 4" intake and 3"tbe and 4" ETS intercooler

Which turbo would be best or would people recommend?

How far does your motor rev to?

The 3794 can be quite laggy on a 2.0 depending on supporting mods

$2200 for hta86. Price increase is not easy to ignore when there are so many good turbos to choose from. A 6266 is $500 less retail and a 6466 is 300 less retail. The PTE turbos also are available at a deeper discount off retail than FP turbos. I have a 6262 JB turbo which is less than half the pricesince I am a poor **** with a house and kid.

i know everyone always looks at price but ill take quality over saven money any day and haven to rebuild a turbo less often. the money you spend upfront on a true garrett unit youll save over a PTE in the long run. PTE turbos and built cheaper and have a much larger mark up to deals which is why so many push and sell them.. cause they make more money per turbo and they are easier to sell cause they have more wiggle room on price. with garrett turbos the margin is very small..

ive talked to numerous shops and race teams, if you have the money to have your PTE rebuild after about every 2 season's (or more depending on conditions) then go for it. but i actually talked to a shop who on their drag car their PTE center section exploded and the compressor wheel came through the fire wall.

I agree it seems like the FP turbo's are built better and might last longer But the price increase is just to much..Even before the increase the 86 was $350 more then the 6262/6266 which is reasonable and makes sense... Now its $800 more which is robbery imo. That's Nuts!! A 6466 is less then $1700 and is a very solid turbo..

I guarantee they lose a lot of sales because of the increase and drop there prices back down in time,We shall see..
