How Many 03's Are Left?
#421
I wonder how many of these have repeated after being sold to someone else on evom?
I'm on my second 03 Evo 8. My first was a WW that was wrecked by some asshat that felt like making a left in front of me. T-boned the douche without a chance to hit the brakes. I'm now the third owner of an 03 BBY with about 96k miles.

I have 113K on mine original owner, never had any major engine problems just routine maintenance. It's in California so I can see it going a LOT further.

191,000 miles, Original owner.
I bought the first Evo sold at El Cerrito Mitsubishi (now defunct), and one of the first sold in the whole SF region. I watched it sit in the window for about two months at their ridiculous markup before I walked in and made em an offer.
I didn't look through this whole thread, but I'm guessing I've still got one of the higher milage Evo's around. I beat the crap outta this car for the first 4 years I owned it; 25k per year, and I only drove about 30mi/day for work. I stopped tracking it when I hit 100k in '07, but it's been my daily driver for ten years this month, and no major problems at all. Friggin warhorse.
Issues? The usual with this year- airbox death/temp dial snappage, front end strut clunk, etc. I also have one of a few cars that eat starters- they die every 40k. I'm 30k into my 5th one, so I'm about due. Whatever.
Replaced the stock clutch awhile back at 161k, the guys at Speed Element couldn't believe it. Said they'd never seen a stock clutch that old before. Go figure. Hills were getting a little iffy by then, though.
03's with 30k? 20k? I'm trying to wrap my head around that...

Got mine last year not sure which owner. I need to do a car fax unless someone has the unlimited reviews they can let me use one time. Car was not built properly took awhile to get everything in line the way I want it. Rust here and there but I got most of it off and touched up my paint myself especially the trunk. It was pink
