60k Maintenance help!
So I'm about to have the 60k service done to my 06 Evo IX MR. Is there anything (aftermarket wise) that u could have put on or changed that'll be better than what they'll do at the dealer? Fluids, belts, plugs, e.t.c.? Also, what's a great flywheel? My car is basically stock. They told me that they believe my flywheel is warped and that they think they may be able to straighten it out. I need input!

I would use stock and purchase from Russel at Mitsubishiparts.net, you can order the complete Kit. I installed this at 40K and now I'm ordering another at 100K. The Timing belt still looks in great shape after 60K miles. Do some research on after market belts, mainly the Timing Belt.

Yes, stay with stock oem parts. they do fit better and will last another 60k. As for as the flywheel, we send it out and have it resurface, just fine. If you do get it service at any shop, made sure they know the hell they are doing. There are lots of monkeys out there.

I would go with OEM, honestly. However, you could use Gates belts, but that's about it (see other thread about OEM vs Gates).
Also, I would recommend replacing all of the timing components, as well as the water pump - it will save you time and money down the road. Being that you have an IX, you won't have much luck with switching to any other spark plug - just go with the factory plugs.
As for the flywheel, if you don't plan on changing the clutch I would just get an OEM flywheel.

This is one area you don't want to skimp. I've put Gates belts in other cars with success, but this time out I went OEM on everything. Worth every penny.
