OEM belts vs aftermarket (GATES)

OEM belts are the best option. This topic has come up recently in Buschur's FB group, the OEM belt was chosen due to it being easier on the oil pump.
Theory being the kevlar transmits a lot more vibrations to the pump and wears it out faster since it doesn't dampen like the rubber OEM part.
I have a kevlar belt on my engine right now, but it's still sitting on a stand , I might swap it out with an OEM part.

I will say the gates accessory belt sux , it squeels when cold and then when the engine is warm it stops. Bothers the hell out of me so I'm going to replace it in the near future with an oem one.

Both my acc. and timing belts are Gates, been on the car over a year now, around 17k miles on them.
Not a single issue with the acc belt, nice wear pattern, no noise or anything. Anyone who's got slippage with a full serpentine setup like ours either has fluid on the belt or a worn tensioner.
The timing belt has been on and off the car probably 7 or 8 times, still holding strong, looks great every time it's been off. Rumor has it that Gates makes the factory t-belt and I won't doubt that.
