What I saw in Vegas

call me negative, but im kinda skeptical about 0-60 in -5. thats fast. like, viper fast. especially when the last seven bests 5.5s. i mean, it could be true...but i wont believe it till i see it, not for around $30k at least. but if it comes out and it is that fast...and doesnt look like that black picture...i'll sell both my cars!

yea, i was looking at some 0-60 dyno readings and the vipers that were on the dynos were around 4.7, 4.8... of all the cars tested (which were all nice cars... not necesarily super speed viper level cars, but still known for their sportyness) only about 4 or 5 outta the top 10 were under 5.

The Viper is a bit faster:
Car-Stats.com Report for 1998 Dodge Viper GTS
Obtained from C&D August, 1998
0-60: 3.9
1/4 Mile: 12.2
1/4 Speed: 118
If it does a 5 second 0-60, it will be way out of it's class in terms of price. These cars all do 5.0 seconds 0-60.

Keep in mind it is ALOT easier to get a quick 0-60 time with AWD than it is with RWD or FWD...unless of course the rwd car has slicks. An Evo with less hp than the other cars and a good clutch will keep up with them at first (up to about 60mph) but will get pulled on by the overall much quicker cars after that.

AWD, gentlemen, AWD. The limiting factor in most of those cars on the list is traction!. The EVO will rocket out of the blocks In longer tests (like 0-100 or 1/4 mile) the higher h.p. exotics will pull ahead.
If a 227 H.P. WRX can get 5.5 0-60 times there is no reason to doubt that a perfect launch in an EVO with 30+ more h.p. won't be close to 5.0.
