Ic sprayer delete question

My intercooler sprayer sucks so a while back i cut the hose off because it was spraying all over my garage, now i took my bumper off for the first time and seen the hidden screws to remove the bottle, my question is if i disconnect the sensor on the bottle and just remove everything will my car throw a code or act up for any reason??

I don't know of any sensor for the sprayer. The wiring you see is probably for the pump.

BTW, I normally never think of using the sprayer but all July we have been having 100+ temperatures. So, I set the thing to auto and I can feel a difference. Much less bog when getting underway with the A/C running.

I was thinking of removing mine also. Don't think I really need it anymore with a 3.5" ETS intercooler!

Can you pull it out from the bottom of the car? No need to remove front bumper or anything right?

Did you tune the IC sprayer setting with ecuflash? If you haven't then whatever it is you are feeling is just in your head, "auto" mode comes pretty much dissabled from the factory, have a read at this:

OP, unplugging the sprayer pump won't throw a code or make your car run weird, just make sure you tape over the connector so it doesn't corrode.
I'm almost positive you have to remove the bumper to get the bottle out.

To all you thinking the system is useless, or maybe don't even know what it is or does, read this:

One would need to compare those settings to that of USDM mapping. May very well be the same IDK never looked at it, never cared to

i never had the car tuned i just bought it used so i cant really answer, as for the sprayer it never really worked right, so i took it out, if it worked i would have considered keeping it. drove the car dry with no fluid in it and the hoses disconnected no problems if that clarifies it.

yes you can take it out from the bottom once the pump it disconnected (one Harness). There are some screws you may be able to reach from under the car with the right tools, but i said screw it since i was painting my grill mesh and had my bumper off i did it right there, there should be the screws up top and then 3 12mm right behind the driver side curve in the bumper. you will need an extension on your ratchet to reach. along with the whole tank assembly you can remove that ugly metal peice where the actually sprayers are and it gives a cleaner look, and those dumb air duct things too, my bumper looks 10 times better without out all of it.
