So I just re-coated my Brembos...

What's up guys
So I just had my Brembos re-coated and had them done by a friend's friend who has some experience with painting and such and I paid him a few bucks to have him paint them the way I wanted, however he didn't stick the decals on until the very end and my question is will my decals hold up without the clear coat over them? I bought them off Ebay and they're high temp (well that's what the seller wrote in the description at least)

here's a picture

Looks good, but I think the clear helps protect the sticker in place from discoloring and from peeling. I would definently get a quick coat of clear over the stickers to seal them for a long life of beauty

From what i've gathered, it's personal choice.
Some people clear over them, some people don't.

I've been running my ebay decals without a clear for about 9 months now. No discoloration or peeling on the sticker, just a sh*t ton of brake dust from my hawk pads lol

Your calipers look great painted. Did you ever consider having them powder coated? I ask because I'm looking to have mine redone as well.

Wow, those are sharp! What would he charge to maybe do an extra set (pm me if necessary)? Mine are in great shape (never tracked, 98% of original color still present), but I wouldn't mind a custom color. I would get the decals cleared for piece of mind.

Yeah I was going to get them powder coated and I went to a few places to get some quotes, however they were charging me $75 per caliper plus I had to disassemble them myself so I was like f*ck that! haha

I can't find the exact link man, but I know the seller goes by the name "Sticker Culture"

Look real sharp! If it was me, I'd do a clear coat on the stickers. If one corner starts peeling, ull end up getting brake dust and crap all up in it and eventually peeling the part of or the whole sticker off.

If you still have them out, clear them just for added assurence. If you already have them on the car and really don't want to take them apart again, just run them as is.

I would wait to have them actually powder coated for when they need to be rebuilt.
