Clutch help
About a year ago I had a leak in my hydraulic line to my slave cylinder. I took it to the shop and had both the slave cylinder and the master cylinder replaced. It seemed to work at first although it was still a little difficult to sift into 1st and reverse. Then after a few months I noticed that it would sometimes grind going into 4th. I also noticed that there is about a 1 second delay when shifting from first to second. I got tired of dealing with it so I did a search on here and figured out how to adjust the clutch pedal thinking that it must not be engaging the clutch all the way. After adjusting the pedal it's easier to shift but reverse is still a little difficult and there is still that annoying delay between 1st and second. Do you think my synchros are shot? I’m not about to drop a ton of money into this car. It has too many miles. Can anyone think of a inexpensive fix for this?
I almost forgot. The problem a been much worse in this crazy heat. My car hates temps over 95F or under 40F.
