Bump- I too would love to see the pictures where clearancing is needed.

Also what did people use as a dye to press out the old bushing? The closest one in the ball joint service kits are 3" and the bushing is just a hair smaller so I would like to find something better so I won't be forced to press out the dye after I remove the bushing.

I was thinking exhaust tubing maybe?

I used a hydraulic press with BMW bushing sockets Fit like a charm
Here are the spots that need clearance. Note that it is easy to oversee this issue as when the suspension is unsprung and wheels are off the ground there is lots of clearance. However if you do not add clearance you will have an awful clunking noise every-time it makes contact

Thanks for the pictures now I can really see it.

Was that all done with an air hammer or just by swinging a hammer?

As to the bmw sockets can you comment on where you sourced then and and if it was such a tight fit that you had to then press it out of the lca.

Im having a hard time finding a suitable dye that isnt such a tight fit...
