This has got to be the shadiest post on EvoM in 2012.

They take the VIN and pull the history.

I'm sure you can see where it goes from there?

Come to think of it, they never even check any form of id as to whose car it is.

The stealerships I've used in the past don't care about much, until you try to get them to cover something on their dime. That's when they start to scrutinize everything. I had my windshield replaced under warranty a few years ago and they were quick to check ownership paperwork, years and miles left on the warranty, etc.. Of course, YMMV depending on the stealership.

Why would they ask you for the title ? More than 60% of the cars that are taken to a dealership are not even paid. Registration and ID, but like everyone said they dont ask until you want something under warranty.

Well thing is i bought the car at a auction which it has been stolen and the insurance company recovered it. They didnt put it as a salvage title but a original title. I had fixed all the minor things that was wrong but its throwing a couple of computer communication codes and i wasnt sure if the dealership would even give me warranty since its not a salvage title and its seems to still under warranty.Im only asking because i wasnt sure if they would do a vin check and find out it was stolen before and etc.
