Needing some help with my a new motor
Sorry in advance, thought I would receive better response here than else where. I have a built motor for my 3G v6 eclipse, Yeah I know, not an EVO. My question I would think is rather general here. I'm running low compression pistons, 8.8:1 to be specific, with stage 2 turbo grinded camshafts (I know, kind of vague). I'm not sure what the degree specs are on the lobes but I know they aren't 272's. The car turns over, but does not want to start. I'll try and post a video I took of me trying to crank it up. On some turns I do hear a pop occur, some I'm assuming there is fuel/air/ and spark mixture.
Compression is all 140 psi across my right bank which I figure is a good sign since there is no sign of any deviation between them.
My manifolds are hooked up to the heads, but no downpiping is attached them since my stock down piping does not fit (having headers sent to me). Would that back pressure from exhaust help at all with compression? (Or is that just a dumb statement and not make sense? or irrelevant if it did make sense?).
