Ahh, welcome to Evo ownership. A bit of advice, upgrade your intercooler and pipes at the same time. it'll eliminate a lot of hassle trying to get the stock hose over a 2.5" opening. And make sure they clamped past the bead.

Instead of t-bolts you could use breeze clamps. I prefer breeze clamps.

You can also just buy the kit and be done with your whole system:

Ok here's the deal. I was driving in a long up hill, two lane, no emergency lane tunnel and POP off comes my pipe. I was with my gf and it was a LOONNNGGG night. I couldn't get the leverage to get it back on anyway I digress..

I got t-bolt clamps and a week later POPPPPP. Guess where it happen. yup, same EXACT SPOT. This time I wasn't with my gf so it was a little better but anyway.

Where I'm going with this is that yes it sucks, but there are thing that you can do to prevent it from happening again.

So:

-T-bolt clamps are a great way to start, though, as you read in my story NOT a complete fix.

- Hairspray. After applying the stuff my silicone never moved.

- MOST IMPORTANTLY::::::PROPERLY SIZED SILICONE COUPLERS!!!!!!! This is really what prevents me from being stuck in a busy two lane tunnel for the third time.

For some intercooler pipes (I have injen) the stock couplers from the in/out of the intercooler JUST DON'T CUT IT. If you want to be sure you wont end up on the side of the road again get yourself some properly fitting silicone.

Best of luck
