Driving Your Evo In The Winter

I run 225/45/17 blizzaks on my stockers and have had no issue at all. It's a tiny bit skinnier than a 235/45/17 which is really not even noticeable. The sidewall is still the same so it's not any more low profile than a 235/45/17. 225 would be the skinniest I would go though IMO. Mine work great!

The best thing you can do is not park the car indoors when it's snowing when you plan to drive it as the constant warming/melting of coming in to a warm garage from freezing weather is what allows rust to eat. If you just kept it at freezing temps your better off.

yea but i normally drove after a fresh snow and watch where i drive, (i try to stay off main roads where they salt more) and like i said car washed after every drive. but thats history now that its totaled, kinda ironic, i went through all that babying, kept low mileage, then it becomes a crumpled beer can

I would avoid heavily treated roads otherwise you may get some rust issues, but otherwise with a good set of tires (blizzaks are great) you should be able to have a good time in the snow, like everyone else said though brembos don't do anything special on snow haha
