A 215 will be fine. especially if you get a lot of snow the road isn't too ****ed up.

If you think the sidewall is the same on a 225-45 and a 235-45 you don't know anything about tires.

This is also true. The tires have to be the exact same size, same even wear on them. If they were on a RWD BMW I would not use them.

Any awd car will handle great in the winter! My wrx is always reliable with a good tire choice.

Fixed. AWD doesn't help with braking

regardless of how many wheels are spinning, its all about tire selection when it comes to snow

The best thing you can do is not park the car indoors when it's snowing when you plan to drive it as the constant warming/melting of coming in to a warm garage from freezing weather is what allows rust to eat. If you just kept it at freezing temps your better off.

yea but i normally drove after a fresh snow and watch where i drive, (i try to stay off main roads where they salt more) and like i said car washed after every drive. but thats history now that its totaled, kinda ironic, i went through all that babying, kept low mileage, then it becomes a crumpled beer can

I would avoid heavily treated roads otherwise you may get some rust issues, but otherwise with a good set of tires (blizzaks are great) you should be able to have a good time in the snow, like everyone else said though brembos don't do anything special on snow haha

If starts to slide in the snow just give it some gas and enjoy the fun.

I don't have any pics, but I can definitely say it was fun after some of the streets were cleared out after the storm of 2010.
