Comp Stage 2. Good to over 400 horse and very streetable...great grab and surprisingly easy in stop and go traffic. Handled a couple track days like a champ and got me right home. Amazing clutch.

^ First person to talk some sense. We all want more power eventually. And just about anything over 400wtq on a single disk will either be a syncro eating beast unsprung clutch, or a twin. So that is my vote. I've had ACT's, 2 of em. One ate my syncros in the 5spd. Exedy twin went in after that. And my newest Evo had an ACT 6 puck, that locked out at 7500. Twin went in after that one as well.
Couldn't be happier.

Here's a question on clutch combos, I'm new the evo game but came from v6 mazdas with the g-series transmission that were made of glass.
I found that a 6 puck with an aggressive pp will explode things in short order but I tried an unsprung 6 puck paired with a stock pp and it held past 330wtq with no issues, didn't break transmissions, and resulted in great engagement/driveability short of occasional chatter taking off from first.
Once I posted my results the combo spread throughout the community with great results across the board.
Those cars came stock with 160tq and with an oem pp and 6 puck I could more than double that without hurting driveability or exploding parts.
Has anyone tried an aggressive disc with a stock pp on an evo? The mx3 in my sig saw more than it's fair share of track time and that oem pp/6 puck combo held power and lasted for quite a long time.

I don't have lofty plans for my evo, maybe 400tq at most so I was wondering if anyone had tried the combo that worked so well for me elsewhere. It's an old school trick hot rod guys have been doing for generations.
If it could hold double the stock power on evos the way it did on the mazdas that would be plenty of holding power for a great deal of people while not adding significant transmission shock.
I have no problems throwing in a twin disc if the power requires one, just wanna see what people have tried on evos since I'm new to this platform.

For your power you don't need anything crazy like a 6 puck or twin a comp stage 2 is great I know guys with around 500whp and say its still perfect but like stated its more tq you look at when you get your clutch good luck and again a comp stage 2 would be perfect
