evo 8 infamously bad idle.
#32
I would let my car start up and get to operating temp and everything would be normal....pulling consistent vaccuum at 20 in/hg and a steady idol. As soon as I took the car out to drive I would come to a stop and it would feel lke the car wanted to die on me but never did. My vacuum would bounce from 8-12 in/hg and my car would sound if it were cammed but its not. It would always do it when driving but sometimes sooner than later after....it was very inconsistent on when it would happen.....one day I would start to get the rough idle 10 mins after driving and some days it would be only a few minutes....Im guessing as we add up miles the egr valve gets worn or caked up and do not shut all the way and remain open when they are supposed to shut...hope this helps

My car does it too, i have adjusted the BISS screw and it makes no difference, i run a MAF and have had TSCOMP go through my tune numerous times, i have recirc the bov and currently run it VTA, i pretty much just put the car in neutral press brake with left foot and use my right foot to maintain the rpm's. If someone has a fix id love to know! Thanks

Honestly I had a similar scenario, I would come to a stop & near die or cold start would jump around...replaced the aftermarket BOV to Evo9 diverter valve which is recirculated along with checking my vacuum lines and amazingly idle was great after since.
