torquing crank pulley bolt?

Is it really neccessary to torque the crank bolt on an evo 8?? i see some other threads about it, but ive done over 1000 timing belts on various cars and never torqued a crank bolt in my life

Blue Loc-tite, impact gun, 2nd setting, quick burst.

All manufacturers call out a torque spec for the crank bolt, this car is no different.

its a precaution cause you arn't setting the actual recommended torque.... only because you haven't heard of it happening doesn't mean it can't.

Its cheap insurance. Its not gonna hurt anything to put some blue loctite, but it can prevent it from coming out. I wouldnt say its necessary, but its a good preventative measure.
