It's a metal pill with a tiny hole (to let fluid flow through at a slower rate) inside the slave cyl.

pull the line off of the slave cyl and you will see it in there, just pull it out put the line back on and bleed the clutch.

Is there any benefit to removing this at low power levels? Less than 400whp?

Find the thread about replacing the clutch line. The restrictor reduces the flow of fluid which makes clutch engagement sloppy and incomplete regardless of power level. Taking the pill out allows more deliberate engagement.

What I want to know, is removing it just giving you more of a chance to pop the clutch clip? I read that somewhere and that's why I haven't removed mine yet.

So does someone know the reasoning behind why Mitsu would implement this clutch pill?

With all this comments I might not even remove the pill. Im close to 400awhp exedy twin anf lately my clutch pedal feels a little different when I first put the twin in. Was wondering is the pill is gonna help. Engagement still the same.. launch it twice since I put it on. All my drivetrain is from shep.

So that idiots who drop the clutch at 7K wouldn't file warranty claims.

FWIW, my clutch pill has been out for ~5 years.

^What he said.
It's to reduce the clutch clamping speed for "inexperience" drivers.
I got it out only a few months after getting the car in 2003. I could not shift quickly with it in.

If you are asking about the hydraulic line for the clutch you should just replaced the "rubber" section.

i did the pill delete and stm master to slave clutch line, clutch feel is a lot better and i noticed the clutch pedal is not as stiff. i was kinda tripping out cause the clutch pedal is springy now and WOT shifting is super smooth.
