So today i had a guy try and sell me an Apexi s-afc2 controller for my evo 8. I have my car steet tuned and its ecu boosted. I really dont know much about air fuel besides what is good and bad. My question is, is this contoller useful at all for any reasons? I mean i have mycar tuned so what would i do with this?? Also what would this thing be worth used?

I know in 2003 ish people use to buy that before you can tune by ECU...DON'T buy it IMO... I would say, that controller is probably not as useful now a days like it used to be... hopefully someone with more knowledge chimes in on this.

Thanks man, that actually makes sense cuz like 9 years ago my buddy had a 99gsx and he had a huge turbo setup installed with this controller. We tried to tune it using it but our lack of knowledge and bong smoke in the car prolly didnt help

Im far past those days and it seems like tuning has maybe phased out these do it yourself controllers??????

Bong smoke he says. Nobody uses these, mine from my GS-T sits untouched. Our air fuel is controlled by the ECU.

It was useful back in 2003 when the collective didn't know yet how to hack into the ECU.
