Exhaust concerns

I just installed the GReddy TBE. looks really really good on the car. It seems really quiet for an aftermarket exhaust for being catless. almost more quiet then the stock one. I was wondering how much of a difference it makes to remove the silencer. also looking to get my 02 housing upgraded. looking for something that lines up with the 3in dp and is well made. any suggestions are appreciated. thanks!

Are you talking about a silencer that slips into the end of the muffler? or a resonator? A removing a resonator will be noticibly louder but not that much. Removing a slip in silencer would at least double the sound.

Which greddy do you have? I would assume the SP2 or evo2 since those would be the quietest.

take out the silencer, its gonna be extremely loud. i believe the silencer is only an inch opening, so your really robbed of power. i hope you didnt WOT with it on.
theres a lot of different o2 housings, it depends on your budget. im running a megan it its cheap and effective.

looking for something well made and not over priced. As far as the silencer I was concerned it would rob power with that tiny a$$ hole. WOT? not sure what that means

The sound restriction is in the downpipe. I put my Buschur bullet on and was very disappointed until I installed my Megan downpipe and test pipe, now it's too loud at times.
