oil pressure question
can low oil pressure cause a knock and not do damage? the car didnt run for long after when the knock was heard and the oil light came on dim. I heard after the ams balance shaft delete it could cause the oil pump to fail. the knock happened right after the delete.

99.9% of the time when you have low oil pressure it does damage it starves the engine of oil because the oil is not flowing properly. if you caught it in time you will be able to find it. but we will need more info. who installed the part? everything torqued right. and so on. i would call ams and see what they say.
