uicp question

I have an evo 8 with stock ucip but i have the evo 9 bov. Id like to change the uicp cause it is my last stock part on my bolt ons. Plus i have an ef3 turbo, cams, injects etc... coming and i plan to be around 450whp @ 25-27psi. Now i am worried about the evo 9 bov leaking. Should i crush it or i have the option of buying a guys injen uicp that has a hks ssqv recirced on it? Id like to keep my ucip ETS tho as the rest of my piping and fmic is ETS. But this injen pipe and hks is a great deal. Will my crushed 9 bov hold up to 30psiu or a little less? I have searched the crushed 9 before but i dont know what to do here. The hks will hold that psi for sure but injen is kinda cheap ic piping imo.
please any takes on topic would be great.

I wouldn't run the HKS SSQV or Injen piping on my car. You can get a Synapse DV to replace the stock DV, it is one of the more popular DV to be run on the Evo. Right now I run the stock 9 DV at 29psi.

The Injen UICP is as good as any other. Not going to notice any difference. I prefer SS IC piping to Aluminum and will only ever use SS piping in turbo applications.

Theoretically you want the shortest piping possible. But with the UICP I've never seen documented gains from one brand to another

+1 My stock one held 30 psi when i did a boost leak.

OP: Do a boost leak with 30 psi and see if yours holds. If not, see at what psi it starts to leak. You might be surprised at the results.

I have a crushed 9 dv and also have the ETS uicp. The crushed 9 dv has been fine with holding up to 30lbs of boost. You should be fine.

If you need an upper pipe we can help you out. We also have a turbosmart plumb back valve that can take the place of the factory valve and hold 30psi. If you need a package deal, let me know!
