Considering buying another Evo - and selling the one I have now
Considering trading my Evo in to a dealership soon -
It'd be ideal for me to trade in my Evo as part of the deal, but rather than giving the dealership a well modded Evo, I might as well swap some parts I currently have on the car back to stock -
however, I've got some pretty hard to move parts:
FP green BB (not that hard)
Want to swap the rear diff back to a stock one so I can keep my cusco and put it on the new evo
Shep built 5 speed transmission
Shep built transfer case
Bilstein HD struts and gtworx springs
As well as a bunch of little parts like UICP, small battery kit, etc etc etc.
The ones I listed up top are the ones I think I'd actually get some $$ back out of switching to stock.
You guys have any ideas on how to simplify the move?
I could put the car FS here but I think I'd be jerked around and I'd want to sell the parts off of the car for more $$ anyway. Plus I think just trading it in would be a simpler deal.
Thoughts?
FYI: It's done!

want it in white, want MR, want lower miles, too many mods to easily remove to run in STU (like the cams, which I didn't mention because it's too much of a pain to remove), etc. figure its cheaper to buy than convert those

Just an idea, have you thought about trading another person for a white evo? Its worth looking into. you never know, someone might want another color too. Although white is a highly sought after color so it might be hard.

I had, but like you said I think it'd be a hard find

Just do - would like the little things the MR came with stock. Would like a 6 speed, etc.
Just kind of looking for a restart. The transmission is amazing though, I'm sure it wouldn't take too long to sell - especially since I got it with the Evo 8 3rd and 4th gears, etc.

If you're going to go through all of that trouble, you might as well do it the way that makes you happy. I wish my SE was white too, but dude that sounds like a real pain in the *** and a waste of time/money IMO.
I say buy a white GSR without the SSL and make that your daily. Keep the current one as a track car.

Seems easier to just autox in a different class, or dont say you have aftermarket cams.
I guess if you really have your heart set on a WW evo MR then sell those aftermarket parts plus trade for the stock parts to put back in your car. Youll have extra money and since you want to be more stock for your class you wouldnt want those parts in your new car anyhow. With that extra money you will have more towards your downpayment or whatever you wish.
