What is the size of the drainplug thread

What size thread pitch is the drainplug of the transfercase? Im trying to create a filler for it.

14mm threads with a 17mm socket i believe

that's a complete guess. but i know the 17mm part is true

And I suppose any crush washer that fits will do the trick???

They will, I use MD050317 exclusively though. I like crush washers that actually crush as opposed to copper washers that...don't.

i'm going to say yes. It crushes nicely I use them on all 14mm drain plugs that I have; cars and motorcycles. never had one leak on me

very easy to crush. you can feel the bolt and washer get tight, then you can feel it crush because the force to tighten is about 30% more but it's not inhibiting, it keeps turning, then you can feel it bottom out when it's done crushing. no need for "extra blips" or turns because you can feel it the whole way through

gotcha. i was an all copper guy back around when I first got the evo. stepped away from the scene for a while and came back to these aluminum washers thinking wtf is this? lol. will just buy a bag of aluminum crush washers from napa, thanks

That's the fill. The drain is bigger. 15/16 or 24mm hex, and I think its 16mm thread..

to expand on this, since i now re-read the post, i use copper for the transmission and rear diff still. i only use the aluminum crush washers on the oil pan drain plug
