Did I screw up?
So let me explain my 2 day and counting adventure with my newly acquired evo 8 mr 43k mi and 20k mi tranny( car fax supported)
bought it from a dealer for at first with a steady price of 22500. through papers and finializing it ended up being 26k. financing.
drove it off the lot with no lights and no issues except for an engine service soon on no cat or rear o2.
Originally its only issue was off carfax for a front minor accident . with a more detailed look you cam see the whole from support was switched out and rivvted. with a test drive the srs light came on and started pulling like crazy.
is it worth the headache of going back and returning it and shooting for a new one. or keep it even though it feels like i overpayed, and it came with a list of repair orders it had mostly cosmetic but i did see engine was sent out for evaluation.
thanks ahead for whoever responds

SRS lights, pulling hard, etc., just in one drive... I'd want to take it back. the price you paid is what some decent problem free cars sell for on this site.
if you are stuck with the car, might want to get in the regional section, and ask the "Philly's classiest drunkards" thread. They aren't nice to new guys, and the thread has 500 new posts a day and many get overlooked, but they are local to you, and will likely know where you should/shouldn't take your car.

I dont know what the cooling off period laws are in your state, but I would find out soon what they are and see if you can return it. Unless you really like the car regardless, if you do just make sure there is no structural damage.
Carfax is nice, but having a good look for yourself is better. Mine came with a clean carfax but I could tell previous owner tapped the passenger front. I took off the fenderwell liners and bumper and had a real good look to verify all was straight. G/L

my only problem with this thread is when you buy a car from a dealer you know what your final price is before you sign the papers. You stated that you feel like you over paid. If you felt like that, why would you have bought it in the first place, especially if it has been wrecked. From my understanding if was also pulling like crazy on your test drive?? I would say you screwed up

yea, take it back, stay away from any car that has been wrecked, and always tell the dealer you want the out the door price, i always do that, cause they like to hit you with the plus tag tax, title, delivery, wash and wax, storage, and other b.s. fees just to get more out of you, gl
