clutch or slave?
I have a 03 evo 8. Evo 9 turbo. 272 cams. Stage 3 exedy clutch. I was driving the interstate and went from 4th to 5th and it would not go into 5th. I lost about half my pedal. Pulled over and tried putting itbck into gear and it wouldnt go. Turned off for about 10 minutes. Started it again and tried to put back in gear except this time it went but with a little effort. As i drove the clutch was making a clinging noise. What i was thinking was the slave cylinder and the clanking noise is the fork not hwving pressure applied to it. Slave is not leaking externally. Can they leak internally? What is your oppinion. Im stumped and the clutch only has about 8k on it

2003 car, upgraded to a triple, etc. I bet the slave could be the issue. It's a cheap part, and super easy to replace. I'd buy one, remove the pill, and see if that fixes it. worst case you replaced an old part that is known to go bad on Evos with upgraded clutches.
good luck

Trans is out. The notorious clutch chatter turns out that it is notnormal. That chatter is more than likely a clutch spring that is loose or is about to break. Mine 3 of them were broke. Completely out of position.

Yup, exact thing happened to my 6 puck before it went. Took it out and the spring broke from the clutch plate.
