The eBay ones work the exact same as your tester homie, just a smaller, harder to read version. I've tried three different ones out and I found that the buschur one works the best.

I wouldnt run that in my car. Youre gunna have a lot of trouble finding 85% this time of year since a lot of stations will switch over to roughly 70%.

It depends on how conservative your tune is. The car will run richer than normal. If its tuned aggressively your timing might be too much for the reduced alcohol content so that's something to note even if your AFR's are still ok.

Can you switch back over to 93 for the winter? The tune on my car isnt too aggressive but I test it every time and refuse to run under 85%

First, the absolute lowest line on the tester is where you fill the water to. Then to the top line (100%) with the E85 and shake it up. Let it settle out and it will show a distinct mark.

E55 sucks! E70 is typical around here this time of year. If you were tuned aggressively on E85 it could be a problem running E70.

Dave, i'm glad you chimed in here. assuming the timing isn't an issue how much richer would the car run going from 85% to 70%

I use the same tester i got from Dave at the shootout. It works good. Just kind of difficult to use at the pump before you fill up I never even seen over e80 here this summer most it ever got to was e78 via the tester. I was still able to make plenty of power off it though.

I use the dual map feature so I can switch from my e85 tune to my 91 tune wtih my ic switch If I can’t find gas or I know it’s going to get cold out and I want to drive it. So far It works awesome. Don’t get stuck with your pants down!
