Fuel Gauge not reading, need help

I have a 2003 lancer evolution and I installed a Full blown fuel system. I filled up the gas tank and the gas gauge doesn't read all the way to full. What I did, I replaced both fuel gauge sending units and it still doesn't read all the way to full. Is there another way that I can fix that problem?

When I pulled the fuel pump assembly from my tank to swap the pump I inadvertently tapped the level sensor; which made it read empty when i put everything back together. The float is attached to an arm with a magnet on the end that slides up and down a strip. Make sure the magnet is touching the strip and not bent outward and stuck to something else that is metallic.

hope this helps, GL!

Thanks I will look into it. Should I look on both fuel gauge sending units?

There should only be one. Pull out the entire pump assembly and you should see what's pictures below. Look at the magnetic strip on the end of the float
Arm and verify the magnet sensor is in contact with the strip.
