OBDII Scanned Results

So I recently found 1 place in California that allows free scannings, and was told that I have a code P041. I have not been able to find a lot of help in regards to this, so I am seeking help

One of the lines came off you egr. Zip tie it back on and it'll be good to go.

I had a new friend of mine take a look at it, and from what he could see, the lines are good.
Has anyone had this problem before? I hope I just need to do a simple cleaning from carbon build up. Is it normal to smell so much gas while the car is idling?
Thank you for the responses.
It really is only those 3 numbers.

Sounds like you are missing a number. I have never seen a 3 digit DTC code. Here is a list of DTC codes http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/

Start with a boost leak test. It sounds like either a hose has popped off or has a hole or tear in it. Take off the air intake and pressurize the turbo with compressed air. You can build the boost leak tester from any hardware store with a quick search for parts. I usually do about 5-10psi over my target boost. Listen for any air leaks, a spray bottle with soapy water can help for the pin hole leaks.

And dont say you dont have any leaks please before actually checking it out properly.

Also almost all big chain parts stores will check the code for free. Might want to try another one and see what you get.

So far, from the 2 places I went to, the results were the same, P041.
From what I my friend told me it has something to do with the egr. I hope it is not a leak, will be looking into, I don't even know where that is, I have never worked on a 4g63 before.
Should probably buy a manual. Thank you for the help everyone.
