EVO 7 Gourmets/Firewall HELP! (Pics)
Hey guys, I just got a EVO7 in Australia. I have afew questions that I cannot find information on.
My EVO7 is the 2001 GSR jap import verison (Right hand drive/5 speed manual).
Where on the firewall can I get leads, cables through to the cabin?
I cannot find any gourmets that lead straight into the car to install even a simple boost gauge. Do I need to drill a hole? I really don't want to drill. mainly because 95% of my tools are 1300km's away haha
I found 2 possible enter points. both seem extremely difficult to use.
This one was easy to find, but was very high up and far away from the glove box (Passenger side gourmet).
I tried running string through it, hoping it would pop out the other side, but I couldn't get anything.
I found this one (Right side of imagine) behind/under the glove box. Tho was extremely hard to push through and I gave up before I broke something.
I also didnt know where it popped out. (Left side of imagine)

Look on your (jdm) driverside (usdm) passenger side.
Behind the shock tower on the firewall all the way in the corner almost to the fender, its hard to see at first so keep looking.
There's a grommet that will lead into the cabin. That's where I went through, no need to drill.

There's a grommet above the accelerator pedal on the driver's side. it's closer to the top of the firewall. it's a little hard to see/ reach, but it works. I ran my water temp and boost gauge wires through there.
