How much money do you have in the car? Like someone earlier said, they're not going to give you money for the mods so if you have $15k in the engine it's just gone. I'd buy it back at the point. If its basic bolt ins I'd take off what I could and let em have it.

Make sure you tell your insurance of any improvements or recent maintenance. I totaled a truck many years ago shortly after spending $1.7k to get the transmission rebuilt. Although they didn't give me the full $1.7k for the transmision work they did give me a large portion of it.

Guys, also be aware that his evo was not even sold in his country(Canada) originally. so there will be heavy fees in importing new parts.

IMO, I would fix it. at least you hit the right side and not the drivers to take out the ACD pump too.

Up to you though. I know getting a evo 8/9 in Canada is tough. not like here in the states.
