Stolen Evos of Chicago/Suburbs

Stolen Evos of Chicago/Suburbs
See so many stolen evo threads, all coming out of Chicago/suburbs - wanted to compile a thread to see exactly what the story is, and what's working and what isn't for safeguarding our cars
How was the car stored, and what security measures do you have on the car? Anyone here with a failed attempted theft?
Mods, if you think this thread will actually be bad for future evos, please close.
My evo has not been stolen, and I am in an apartment with a garage underneath. When I visit my friends in Chicago and park in their open lots overnight though, I always worry.

This thread can stay open so long as people aren't dumb enough to post their security set-ups in detail. I don't want this thread to turn into a resource for car thieves.
FWIW, this is the only device I know that has never been defeated:
http://www.mitico.com/index_rhino.htm
No car thief wants to try and sit there with a grinder to cut through the steel. I think I still have my 14" H Series wheel boot in my garage from when I had my Type-R in San Diego.
Everything else can be defeated. Lots of the cars that are immobilized are typically pushed out to a waiting flatbed down the street. People won't call the police because they think it's just a normal car getting impounded.
The general rule of thumb is to layer your security, don't share it with ANYONE and stay paranoid if you live in a high theft area.

Truth.
Except Southern Cali is kinda known for its car culture. Chicago does seem a little random to be such a high theft area for Evo's
I thought that shop getting shut down recently was partially to blame......Or has that changed?

Has anyone thought about putting a "GPS Tracker" on their car somewhere? Don't need specifics, but it may be a good idea to see where the cars at if it gets stolen, maybe it'll lead you to a boatload of more evos.
I still think you guys in Chicago should setup a bait car
