Do you have a factory oil temp gauge? If so I believe that's the temp sensor, a two wire harness with a connection clip 6" or so away.

I have the gauge pack on my 8 gsr, came like that from the dealer. My drain plug has a swivel for the wire so I dont have unclip mine. Anyone else? Also is it normal that an `03 VIII GSR came with the 3 gauge pack and a sunroof? Never put much thought into it till now.

Did yours come with a rear strut bar as well? Does your front strut bar have the red brackets on itwhere the firewall bar meets the strut bar at the struts?

Thats what I was thinking too, not sure tho. Anyone know about this? I wonder why mine ended up with the rear strutbar too? The `03 models are a bit of an odd ball I think. I believe the strutbars, guage pack, rear strutbar and sunroof were some options from the dealer. Yours have a sunroof?

Back on topic! I also have the wire coming off the drain plug. Is there a replacement for the plug/sensor thingy?

On my '04 Evo, the aluminum strut brace with the red corner covers was a Mitsubishi option. I ordered it, and the "MR" gauges when I placed the order for the car. They were installed when I took delivery.

Good question, would like to know this myself. Not sure if mine has the plug, how far up the wire is yours? Does yours have the swivel on the drain plug for the wire?
