how long should a tune last?

Last February I had Myanmar tuned at cbrd, since then I've put on about 20, 0000 miles. A few months ago I noticed my idle started become rough, but was throwing no codes. Since then I've checked for vacuum leaks....etc, changed my idle AICV after doing that I finally threw a code for my o2 . I will be changing the o2 sensor shortly. But my idle still rough, and My A/F matches the rough idle.

I will post a video of the symptoms

So my question is should I have it taken back in to be cleaned up ?

The tunes last FOREVER. Its the changing the environment you live in, and if you made any changes to the car since the tune.

A tune will last as long as the motor. Do regular maintence, boost leak test ect. Something mechanical changed in the past 20k miles that you need to find. Parts wear out, a tune does not.

Meh I've heard of tunes changing, the guy/shop that has done my tuning in the past said the same thing. Things can/do change as a matter of fact my car leaned out partway through last summer so I had to go back in for a tuneup. Weather, temp and modifications do it too.

Values in the tune don't just magically change by themselves. If trims etc are off now while they were good before, either it was improperly tuned to start with, the weather has a different effect on it, or something mechanical changed with the car.

What do your fuel trims look like? Can you log o2 sensor voltage?

I'm sure I could, but I'm not set up to currently.

When it was tuned it was given fresh plugs, and mbc

Since then regular oil changes, changed the plugs about 12k miles, replaced the iacv 600 miles ago

I need to change the o2 sensor (finally threw a code)

Probably need to change the plugs again, also was thinking about upgrading to a cop to replace the factory coils

We have a very similar setup and I also have a tune from CBRD, I drive my car year round as the previous owner did not. Within my second year driving I noticed my idle had changed drastically, going from a smooth 1000 constantly to what sounds like a fully built engine on E85. I have done everything short of taking my car back to cbrd to get it tuned again, Plug, plug wires, changed all my tubing and vacuum checked, replaced the egr, all sorts of things and it got me now where. The thing is my car has suffered no damage from this, no knocking, no lack of pull or go. She still runs like the day I got it (besides the idle) I have decided to just let it go.

as always if we can take a look let us know!!

sometimes with dramatically changing weather- we have to make idle changes to compensate for super high or low IAT's etc-- and if there is a dramatic swing there may be some changes- its hard for us to duplicate every condition here on the day we tune the car-

just let us know!
